An article which appeared in the December 1997 Wisconsin Masonic Journal describes the Mortgage Burning that took place on Sunday, October 26, 1997.  By this time, Pike and Southport were together in the Masonic Center on Washington Road.  The building had been erected starting in 1991 at a cost of $372,000, and the entire debt had been retired at this time.
